Carpenter Bee
These large solitary insects bore perfect 1 inch holes into wood on buildings. They can cause severe damage to wood as they carve tunnels or galleries through out it. The males and females will overwinter inside the galleries. Treatment is recommended as soon as possible. Carpenter Bees can be very tough to control, galleries should be injected and an ongoing program is recommended to keep them away.

Yellow Jackets
Many different species of wasps exist. Nesting sites can be found anywhere from the attic to in the ground. Colony sizes can range from 75 - 5,000 workers depending the the species. Large nesting sites are usually found in late summer. Treatment at times can be very tricky, especially a nest located inside a wall or ceiling. We receive a lot of calls from people telling us they have a wet spot on the ceiling. Yellow Jackets are capable of actually chewing through the sheet rock as they look to expand the nest. Entry points should NOT be plugged up, this will actually drive the insect inside. Special products, equipment and safety gear is required to provide the best results.

Their are approx. 3500 species worldwide. They are attracted to moist warm enviornments with food and water near by. Cockroaches develop by Gradual metamorphisis, Egg, Nymphs (babies), Adults. You may also notice brownish colored egg capsules that contain approx 30 baby roaches in each capsule. It takes the nymphs approx 1 month to have the capability of reproducing. A small problem can get out of control very quickly. Like any insect, once you know you have a problem you should have it taken care of immediatly. Roaches have also been known to severly aggrevate allergies and asthma. They usually can be dealt with by using baiting products so customers don't have to leave the home. It is important to eliminate water, food, and harborage areas.

'Pavement Ants'
These are the ants that you generally see outdoors building mounds in your grass or in cracks along driveways. We recieve alot of calls regarding these nuisance ants, once they find a food and water source they can be very persistant. Weather often drives them into structures. If we get alot of rain the water table rises and these ant seek dry ground. Spraying for these ants can actually make the problem worse, so a proffesional should be called especially if trailing is seen.

Fleas
Fleas are pests of humans and their pets. A female will lay a few eggs each day up to 400. Most eggs will hatch within a few days in ideal conditions. Flea Larvae are maggot like creatures that feed on fecal dropping of adult fleas. If a home is left vacant flea eggs can actually lay dormant for almost a year. Vibrations will trigger emergance from the egg. We suggest vacuuming as much as you can before our application. Most homeowners spend more money trying to rid the problem themselves, then then it would by calling us. The problem with the "Foggers" is that they don't leave a residual, this means they just kill the adults. Our products contain "IGRS" or Insect Growth Regulators" with adulticides. So we are able to destroy the adults and with the IGR's interrupt the development of the fleas growth. These product leave a residual which will also help with the egg emergence issue. We recommend all pets to see a veterinarian.
