Because of their biology, and behavior rodents have the potential to transport diseases. The urine of the house mouse contains allergens that can be a major cause of asthma and sinus inflamation. Of all known rodent diseases, plague is the most widely known disease. Hantavirus is another well known disease that attacks the lungs or kidneys. A small problem can get out of hand quickly due to the fast reproduction capabilities of mice. We have found  insulation inside attics, and crawlspaces completely infested with mice, their droppings and urine. In alot of cases a full attic restoration is in order. Most homeowners either have never been in their attics or they don't inspect it on a regular basis. The attic creates a protected dark and warm environment for mice.  Call us for a free inspection.
  These small slender rodents can fit into a hole the size of a dime. They have poor vision and are color blind. The other senses, smell, taste,touch and hearing are excellent. They have inquisitive feeding habits, and are good climbers, and can swim. They are able to mate in 1.5 - 2 months. The breeding season is year long. Gestation period is approx. 20 days.They have 4-7 young per litter, and 8 litters per year with a life expectancy of about 1 year. So if you do the math you can see how a small problem gets out of control very quicky. The infestatin shoul not be ignored. An average mouse will produce as many as 100 droppings per DAY and urinate just as frequently. Because their teeth constantly grow their gnawing habits can cause alot of damage and even start fires. 
   Rodentproofing: Ideally, the best way to control Rodents is to seal off entry points. This can be very difficult or impractical to exclude them completely. Obvious entry points should be sealed. We recommend our rodent control program to be started in the Fall and run through the Winter. This is the time of year when mice are ost active inside structures.
